Romeo & Juliet - Uncommon Blends with Storybook Results
Our second set of Virtual Tastings gets a bit dramatic with “Romeo & Juliet: Uncommon Blends with Storybook Results.” In this two-week series beginning April 17, Stuart Ake, our popular wine educator, will explore the magic behind our favorite blends from the Anarchist and Foundry collections. The first tasting, on April 17, features two show-stopping reds, including Anarchist Conspiracy Theory, and Foundry Eidola Super Tuscan. The second tasting, on April 24, proves that opposites attract with The Anarchist, a lively white blend, and Foundry Crucible, an opulent right bank red. Both sessions begin at 5:00 p.m. pacific time.
*Ground shipping takes 5-6 business days of transit time. Please choose an expedited shipping method to ensure delivery by Friday April 3rd.
2014 Anarchist Wine Co. - Conspiracy Theory
A single sheet of microfiche linking an off-limits stretch of the Nevada desert to RFID chips, fluoridated water and a grassy knoll in Dallas. No digital footprint. Instead, this lip smacking wine reveals secret notes of dark cherry layered with cola, cocoa powder and pie spice. Its contents must be poured, sipped and memorized.
2013 Foundry Wines - The Crucible
Deeply concentrated, with firm, Cab-rivaling tannins. Fruit forward flavors and refined spices give this blend a liveliness from start to finish. Supple on the palate with round black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, plum and cassis - combined with chocolate, cedar, and tobacco.
2018 Anarchist Wine Co. - The Anarchist
Talk about flower power. An elevating bouquet of jasmine, honeysuckle and citrus blossoms abounds. White peach, apricot and a touch of guava join the palate alongside meyer lemon zest and wet stone culminating with a bright, sprightly finish.
2015 Foundry Wines - Eidola
Inspired by the Italian Super Tuscan wines, Eidola is rich and seductive. The ruby-black Cabernet Sauvignon trumpets aromas of ripe black fruits, sage, and black olive.
